The Advisor to the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation , Mr Peter Georgy Georgievich has tasked the government of Ghana to take advantage of its bilateral relations which dates back after Ghana’s Independence since 1957.

Mr Petrov Georgy speaking at the Russian- Ghanaian Business forum in Moscow , commended the World Trade Center Accra , for organizing the Trade mission to its country with Representatives of Parliament select committee on Transport and Agriculture, Ghana Export Promotion Authourity , MASLOC , National Petroleum Authority among others.

In His address , the Advisor to the Russian Federation and Chamber of Commerce said Ghana is ranked  6th major trade partner in Africa. He further expressed interest in Ghana’s cocoa which is the most authentic found in the World. It is the largest country in the world with 17.1 million square kilometers . Russia is a wealthy and powerful country which resides between Europe , Asia  and the Pacific with 11 different time zones. 

The bilateral relations between Ghana and Russia is very friendly and fruitful. 

Russia and Ghana have developed their cooperation in the field of security and there is a significant increase in the number of Ghanaian trade partners with Russia. 

Strengthening and Developing the Economic bilateral relations with Ghana ,the Russian Government has set up an Integrated Union which will assist Exporters of both countries. 

In response , The Deputy Chief Executive Officer for Ghana Export Promotion Authority, Mr Eric Amoako Twum and Mrs Kate Djankwei Abbeo, Deputy Executive Director of the Ghana Free Zones Board , made insightful presentations on Ghana’s business climate.

The Ghana Export Promotion Authority appealed to the Russian Chamber of Commerce to consider packaging investment among other things in the President’s Industrialization agenda for the country .

Ghana’s fabulous Democratic credentials ,Peace and Stability Investment Opportunities as well as quality human resource was touted at the business forum in Moscow, Russia. The Organizers also set up a B2B session for the  various companies to market itself to the Russian market.

The Participating Organizations from the public sector are Ghana Free Zones Board , Ghana Export Promotion Authority , Micro Finance and Small Loans Center ( MASLOC) , National Petroleum Authority, Northern Electricity Distribution Company and Ghana Cylinder Manufacturing Company.

The private sector companies are Global Dream Hotel , Abuya Cleaning Services Ltd , Westbourne Company Ltd , Strategic Energies Ltd , Nick Petroleum , Strategic Communications Ltd and Kaya Tours .

The delegation is expected back home in Ghana on the 1st July.
